1st Prize in Town Hall competition
We are thrilled to announce that KOHT, Longva Arkitekter, and Grindaker Landskapsarkitekter have been awarded the first prize in the invited competition for the new Town Hall in Östersund, Sweden. This is our first competition victory outside of Norway, and hence this will be the start of an exciting journey for our firm.
Here’s what the jury says about our proposal:
"The proposal is characterized by a well-composed and characteristic architecture with great responsiveness to the cultural heritage of the existing town hall in Östersund, and the other qualities found on the site."
The other participants in the competition were Tham & Videgård, COBE and KAAN Architecten.
